Great for a beginner.

I bought this bow in December 2024, 1 month after beginning my first lesson. It was suggested by my teacher. Now having used it for 6 months, i can say that is an excellent bow. Nice and lightweight, and looks great. It was a huge improvement than the generic bow i had before and helped a lot woth string crossings and producing clearer sounds.

Great but could be (slightly) better

I switched from the violin to viola recently and am using the Codabow Prodigy Viola bow presently, one thing that is immediately noticeable is that this bow has a balance point of around 18.8-19 cm which is not bad at all, but the weight of the bow itself feels quite heavy compared to Pernambuco bow (of another viola bow I use). I personally feel it would be much better if the balance point was 18 cm which would give it a much better (lighter) feel and better playability. Otherwise it's got excellent hair, great fittings overall and is hassle free.

Prodigy

I couldn't find better than it, it's great in performance, clear sound, balance, reasonable price, and free safe delivery ... Thank you from the heart.

Early promise

Have only had the Prodigy bow for a few days, but am impressed by the workmanship, balance and lively response. I was a classical player many years ago and have just picked up the fiddle again to play folk and blues tunes. I have old pernambuco bows but this carbon fiber is care-free and worry-free. As soon as we are able to play in groups again, this is my bow!
