At CodaBow we know The Bow Matters. That's why we decided it's time for a fully customizable bow. Introducing Chroma, a new way to find your lifetime bow because it was created by you for you. Chroma is for the musicians who know exactly what they want out of a bow, and CodaBow is here to make the dream bow a reality.
Traditional and stately, the Heritage cello bow has a regal aura and sense of authority. Featuring a time-honored design and feel, it comfortably occupies a spot in such company as W.E. Hill. An understated look belies the richness of its tone, and in spite of its no-nonsense aesthetic, it enchants with a buttery warmth and depth of sound. Not unlike your favorite red wine, the Heritage cello bow's stunning versatility blends with any music and rests as a comfortable choice.
Natural Acoustic Core
Through decades of innovation and experience, we've learned the best cello bows need more than just carbon fiber. The Natural Acoustic Core found inside the CodaBow Heritage contains a blend of organic plant fibers, creating a lush and sophisticated sound.
Unidirectional Carbon Fiber
The CodaBow Heritage cello bow features innovative unidirectional carbon fiber that runs continuously from button to tip on both sides of the shaft. Through this considerate design, the player's fingertips can sense the bow's full-length dynamics and response in an unprecedented way, mirroring the grain structure of the finest Pernambuco bows.
Enjoy a Lifetime of Play
All high-wear components of the Heritage (including tip plate, tip wedge, and button bearings) are meticulously crafted with top-tier composite materials so you can play with your cello bow for years and years.
Elegant Xebony® Frog
Xebony® is an elegant solution to the global shortage of endangered instrument-grade ebony. This proprietary blend of natural fibers and resin creates a rich luster and natural grain. With more durability than natural ebony, Xebony® gives you confidence in your cello bow without harming endangered resources.
Global Bow Design
The Heritage holds a GlobalBow® designation, which means the cello bow does not contain any monitored, regulated, or endangered species (wildlife or plants) and can easily pass through international Customs on your next trip.
I have played for over 30 years and love this bow! I recently had to emergency-replace the bow I've used for over 2 decades and was hesitant to consider a carbon fiber. Understanding technology has developed, I had 5 shipped to my home to try. This was velvet. Perfectly balanced, warm tone with my violin, yet responds well to my fast, harsh bowing. I play classical in an orchestra as well as loud stage music connected to In-ears and large sound system. It has to do it all and this one does! Blew the 5 wooden bows out of the water. Looks classy, traditional, minimalistic, yet has a beautiful sheen to the stick.
